RICHARD WEARN

From New Zealand, Richard Wearn has lived in the United States since 1993. He received a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from the University of Auckland, 1993, and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Southern California in 1996. 

He has exhibited his artworks around the world including The Chinati/Donald Judd Foundation Marfa, Texas; Cincinnati Contemporary Art Center; Headlands, San Francisco; The National Center for the Arts Mexico City; Hillary Crisp Gallery London; The Los Angeles Contemporary Art Fair; Amsterdam Center for Visual Art and Michael Lett Gallery, Auckland, ArtFormosa, Taipei and the   Shanghai International Art Fair in November 2018. 

Richard's artwork is held in many national and international collections including Fidelity Corporation, Boston, The Kantor Collection, Beverly Hills, Leonardo DiCaprio, Los Angeles, Charles Desmarais, Art critic for San Francisco Chronicle. Additionally, Richard has worked in the commercial and non-profit sectors of Los Angeles Contemporary Art: first at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, then for Blum and Poe Gallery Santa Monica, leading to work for Patricia Marshall Fine Arts. He now operates a private research office for contemporary art working with international collectors in addition to a studio in South Central Los Angeles. Richard is Professor of Art at California State University, Los Angeles.
